Send's exchange rates
Access highly competitive exchange rates so you get the most value from every payment.
Rates are indicative and subject to market movement. Your exchange rate is guaranteed as long as you fund the payment or wallet transfer in time. When you confirm your payment or transfer, your exchange rate is locked in and your trade is booked at that rate. By confirming, you're agreeing to fund the payment by the deadline shown in your email confirmation.
If your payment isn't funded in time, we may need to cancel the payment. Because your rate was already locked in, cancelling can result in a cost, and you'll need to rebook your payment at the current rate. If you need help understanding how this applies to your payment, contact our support team.
Before you start
- You need an active Send account.
- You need to be logged in. We don't show exchange rates publicly.
- For details on opening an account, see Who can open an account with Send? and What do I need to open an account? These articles are general information only and don't take your personal circumstances into account. Please review our FSG and PDS before making a decision.
Howe to check exchange rates
Step 1: Log in to your Send account
- Open the Send portal and log in with your email and password.
- Complete the two-factor verification if using your authenticator app.
Suggested visual: add a screenshot of the Send login screen.
Step 2: View the live rate on your dashboard
- Once logged in, your dashboard shows a live exchange rate.
- Choose the currency you're sending from and the currency you're sending to.
- Enter either the amount you want to send or the amount you want your recipient to receive.
- The rate is held for around 2.5 minutes before it refreshes. You don't need to rush. If the timer runs out, a pop-up appears letting you know the rate has updated.
- The countdown timer at the top of the screen shows the time left.
Suggested visual: add a screenshot of the dashboard rate panel.
Step 3: Confirm before your quote expires
- Select Next to proceed to the next step of your transfer.
- Review your details and Confirm before the timer runs out.
- Once you select Confirm, the rate is locked and guaranteed for your transfer.
- If your wallet hasn't been funded yet, please add funds as soon as possible. Once funded, there’s usually nothing further required from you. In rare cases where we require more information about your payment, we'll reach out to you.
