How does Send keep my account safe?

Your account safety is important to us. This article explains some of the checks and controls Send uses, and what you can do to help keep your account and your information safe.

Identity and compliance checks

Send verifies your identity and assess your account as part of our legal and compliance obligations before onboarding you or processing your payments.

These checks happen when you open an account, update your details, add a recipient or make a payment.

Risk checks on payments

Payments are subject to screening and risk-based checks before processing. This may include checks on the recipient, the payment purpose, and the supporting information provided. In some cases we may request more information or delay processing where required. We may also reject a payment or return funds where required.

Anti-scam controls

Transactions may be subject to fraud, scam, and other risk checks, and we may request more information or hold transactions if additional checks are needed. For scam warning signs and how to report anything suspicious, see Security and scams.

Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
