How do I receive money?
If you have an overseas bank account in your own name, you can send money from it into your Send wallet to convert or use for international payments. This article explains how to find your wallet's payment details so you can pay in to your account.
Important: Send only accepts payments into your wallet from your own bank accounts (or your business's, for business accounts). Payments from another person or business on your behalf - including from family, friends, employers, or companies issuing refunds - will be flagged and may be delayed or returned.
Before you start
- You need an active wallet in the same currency you plan to send. For example, if you are sending US dollars from your own US bank account, you need an active USD wallet.
- If you do not have a wallet in the right currency yet, see How to open a new wallet. For the full list of currencies, see Which currencies does Send support?
- You need access to your own overseas bank account so you can make the transfer.
- The payment must come from an account held in your own name. Payments from anyone else will be flagged and may be delayed or returned.
How to pay in to your wallet.
Step 1: Open the wallet you want the money paid into
- Log in to your Send account.
- Go to Wallets and select the wallet that matches the currency you are sending.
- Make sure the wallet status is Active. A wallet that is still Pending cannot receive funds yet.

Step 2: Find your payment details
- On the wallet page, look for the section called "Add funds to your wallet", or click the Add funds button.
- You will see the details you need to give your overseas bank, including:
- Account name (this will be either SENDFX LIMITED CMA or Send Payments, depending on your wallet)
- BSB or SWIFT / BIC code
- Account number
- Bank name and address
- Use the details exactly as they appear in your Send account.
[Suggested visual: add a screenshot of the "Add funds to your wallet" panel showing the transfer details.]
Step 3: Make the payment from your own overseas bank account
- Log in to your overseas bank and set up an international transfer using the details from Step 2.
- Make sure:
- The payment is coming from an account held in your own name.
- You use the exact account name shown in your Send wallet (either SENDFX LIMITED CMA or Send Payments).
- You send the payment in the same currency as your wallet. For example, if you have a USD wallet, send US dollars.

What happens next
- Once your overseas bank has sent the payment, it usually arrives in 1 to 2 business days, but it can take longer depending on the sending bank and country.
- We may request supporting documentation to verify the legitimacy of an incoming payment.
- If further information is required, we will request it as a task via the Send portal.
- When the funds are credited, your wallet's Available Balance will go up and you'll be able to use the money straight away.
- If it's been more than 2 business days and you still don't see the funds, contact our support team.
Common questions
Can someone else send money into my Send wallet for me?
- Send only accepts payments into your wallet from bank accounts held in your own name.
- Payments from family, friends, employers, or companies (including refunds) will be flagged and may be delayed or returned.
- If you are expecting money from someone else, please ask them to send it to your personal bank account, not your Send wallet.
I sent the payment from my own overseas account but I can't see it in my wallet yet.
- International payments can take 1 to 2 business days, and sometimes longer if the payment passes through more than one bank.
- Ask your bank for proof of payment (sometimes called a SWIFT confirmation or MT103). This will help us trace the payment if needed.
- If 2 business days have passed, contact our support team and we'll help you locate it.
I sent the wrong currency. What happens now?
- The currency you send must match the currency of your wallet. For example, a USD wallet can only receive USD.
- If a different currency is sent, the payment will be returned to your bank.
- Returns can take several business days and your bank may charge a fee. Send the payment again in the correct currency, or open a wallet in the currency you are sending from.
My bank is asking for the account holder's name. What do I put?
- Use the exact account name shown in your Send wallet's "Add funds" screen.
- This will be either SENDFX LIMITED CMA or Send Payments, depending on the wallet.
- If you put your own name as the account name, the payment may be delayed or returned by the bank.
You've asked me for documents about the payment. Why?
- As a regulated financial business, we may request supporting documentation to verify the legitimacy of an incoming payment in line with our and compliance obligations. This helps us protect your account and meet our legal obligations.
- Providing requested documents promptly may assist our review.
Can I send funds in any currency I like?
- The currency must match a wallet you already hold with Send. If you'd like to send a different currency, you can open a new wallet first. See How to open a new wallet.
- Some currencies are not supported. See Which currencies does Send support? for the current list.
