How do I log in with MFA?
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your Send account. This article shows you how to log in once MFA is set up.
Before you start
- MFA is mandatory for all Send customers. If you haven't set it up yet, please follow our guide first: How to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- You'll need your phone with your authenticator app installed and ready.
- Send works with supported authenticator apps such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, and 1Password.
Step 1: Go to the Send login page
- Visit the Send homepage.
- In the top right corner, select Send Money.
Step 2: Enter your email and password
- Type in the email address linked to your Send account.
- Enter your password and continue.
Step 3: Open your authenticator app
- On your phone, open the authenticator app you used to set up MFA (for example, Google Authenticator).
- Select your Send account from the list. A 6-digit one-time code will be displayed.
Step 4: Enter your one-time code
- Back on the Send login screen, type the 6-digit code into the One-time code field.
- Submit the code to finish logging in.
Step 5: You're logged in
- If your code is accepted, you can continue to your Send account.
What happens next
- Once your code is accepted, you can continue to your account.
- You'll need to repeat these steps each time you log in to keep your account secure.
- Your one-time code refreshes every 30 seconds. If your code expires before you enter it, the Send screen will let you know - just open your authenticator app and enter the new code that appears.
Common questions
My code isn't working
- Codes refresh every 30 seconds, so the one you're looking at may have just expired. Wait for a new code to appear in your authenticator app and try again.
- Double-check you've selected the correct account in your authenticator app, especially if you use it for other services.
- Make sure your phone's date and time are set to update automatically. If they're out of sync, the codes won't match.
The Send screen says my code is wrong
- You'll have a few attempts to enter the correct code. Take a moment, wait for a fresh code in your authenticator app, and try again carefully.
- If you get locked out after too many failed attempts, contact our support team for assistance.
I've lost my phone or no longer have access to my authenticator app
- For security reasons, please contact our support team if you lose access to your authenticator app or phone. We'll guide you through the next steps to help restore account access.
I haven't set up MFA yet
- MFA is mandatory for all Send customers. Please follow our setup guide: How to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA). Once that's done, come back to this article to log in.
